Life gets busy, it seems we run in place going one hundred miles an hour, and when we come to a screeching halt, we feel a bit off-kilter. I ought to know (as we all do) – in the last 2 weeks I’ve felt like a car that has its fuel gauge on E but still somehow still moves forward, at least until it comes to a dead stop.
This morning, I wrote the word “RESET.” I stared at it and saw the word “REST,” too. And then, the word “SET” (as in “ready, set, go!”)
I realized something in that moment, aside from the desperate need to rest and let my brain take a hiatus. We can look at something, and if we dial in, we may find other things within. Objects and words, too.
